Generous South vs. Tight-fisted Yankees!

Way to go my Southern brethren
from Agape Press
by Fred Jackson

...A new study indicates that New Englanders remain among the most tight-fisted in the United States when it comes to charitable giving, while Bible Belt residents are among the most generous.

The latest data from the Catalogue of Philanthropy's Generosity Index shows that, for the fourth year running, New Hampshire was the most miserly state in the country, while Mississippi remained at the top for generosity.

The index is based on average adjusted gross incomes and the value of itemized charitable donations reported to the Internal Revenue Service on 2003 tax returns.

Some observers have remarked on the fact that the largely liberal and secularized New England region predominately votes Democrat, a party that touts itself as being more concerned about the plight of the poor, while the Bible Belt, which tends to be more conservative, seems to demonstrate more concern by way of charitable giving.

{Gee, you think it might be our Bible teachings that has taught us to walk that talk? Ummm.......}

The War on CHRISTmas

from Agape Press
by Chad Groening

John Gibson is the anchor of Fox News Channel's "The Big Story." His new book is called The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday is Worse Than You Thought (Sentinel, 2005). In it, the author contends that secular militants have expanded their war on Christmas to go after things regarded by most people as innocent emblems of a primarily secular federal holiday.

He points out, reverence for the so-called separation of church and state does not adequately explain the apparent particular animus toward Christmas and Christians as opposed to other religious holidays and observances.

Ample evidence of the secular left's bias:

  1. government workers in Illinois who were barred from saying the words "Merry Christmas" at work
  2. the case of local Rhode Island officials who banned Christians from participating in a public project to decorate a City Hall lawn
  3. New Jersey school where even instrumental versions of traditional Christmas carols were prohibited
  4. an Arizona district where school officials banned any reference in a class project to the religious history of Christmas
  5. in Eugene, Oregon banned Christmas trees because they're Christian

The only thing that one can conclude is that this reveals a bias against Christians which would not be expressed against any other religious group," Gibson says.

But while these militant secularist liberals cloak their war on Christianity in the jargon of constitutional rights, he asks, what about the right to freedom of expression for millions of Americans who want to celebrate their traditional holiday without having to do so behind closed doors?

{Haven't you heard? The Constitution does NOT apply to Christians......UNLESS WE FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS THEY WILL CONTINUALLY, SYSTEMATICALLY STRIP THEM FROM US.}

Return of the Grinch from Agape Press
By Ralph Barker

Christians are getting fed up with the gross hypocrisy demonstrated by retailers as they use Christmas for profit, all the while denying the soul of the holiday: Jesus Christ.

We Christians are the worst when it comes to standing up for our rights and claiming what is ours. Attention Christians! Christmas is definitely ours. It is the celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Certainly unbelievers can enjoy the season and merchants can make their money, but the essence of Christmas is Christ. It is a Christian holiday.

We need to understand this war, fight it, and win it. We need to get offended. We need to get mad. We need to do something this year to stem this tide toward a totally Christ-less holiday.

The Grinch is back, but this time he's not working alone. Macy's, Target, and many other huge retailers have joined him in efforts to steal the true meaning of the Christmas season and replace it with a secularized, paganized, non-religious holiday. They have to be very careful. In doing so they don't want to lose the massive profits they make by selling Christmas gifts. They want to deny Christ without denying the cash. These efforts add new meaning to the word "hypocrisy."

Have you had enough? Are you tired of letting others capitalize on your holiday while denying the Christ it represents? Are you willing to stand up for Christ at Christmas? If so, let's do something and do it now.

Let me suggest a plan of action. This Christmas, don't spend your money at stores who won't allow their employees to wish you a "Merry Christmas." "Happy Holidays" is a PC {politically correct} copout. Don't invest in companies who won't let the Salvation Army ring their bells outside their doors as they have for decades. Let store management know that in their attempts to not offend anyone, they are offending you. Christians spend a lot of money during the Christmas. We have a choice of "where" to spend our hard-earned money.

Finally, tell others what you are doing. Share your efforts in your Sunday school class and at church. Inform you family members and friends. Together we can make a big, big difference.

You won't be alone in your efforts. There is an alliance building right now among major Christian ministries -- such as the American Family Association (AFA) -- to identify and target those companies who want our money but not our Christ.

Begin praying now. This is not just another economic boycott effort. It is a witness to the world that Christmas is important to the world because Christ is important to the world. This is exactly why the world has paused for 2,000 years and acknowledged the baby in a manger. That little baby has meant billions of dollars to retailers. It is time that they acknowledge Him.

{MAYBE CHRISTIANS SHOULD JUST QUIT CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS. IT'S BECOME TOO "COMMERCIAL" ANYWAY.

RATHER THAN EXCHANGING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF GIFTS, PERHAPS WE SHOULD INSTEAD DONATE THAT MONEY TO A CHARITY THAT SUPPORTS OUR CHRISTIAN IDEALS.

IF 83% OF AMERICANS ARE CHRISTIANS, RETAILERS WOULD CERTAINLY GET THE BIG PICTURE THEN AND WE WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING CHRIST-LIKE IN HONOR OF OUR CHRIST'S BIRTH.}

Deadly Toys

In full from Honest Reporting

Sloppy journalism leaves many questions unanswered in tragic death of child.

As HonestReporting has repeatedly stated, pictures are central aspects of news stories. The decision of which photograph should accompany a report is an editorial matter of tremendous importance. It can completely change the way a textual story is understood by the reader.

On Saturday (Nov. 5), a Palestinian child playing with a replica of an M-16 assault rifle in Jenin was mistakenly shot and killed during a firefight between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian terrorists. As Reuters described:

The Israeli army said soldiers in the Jenin refugee camp came under fire from Palestinian gunmen in several locations and returned fire, hitting the boy who they said was later discovered to have been holding a toy weapon.

The New York Times provides greater detail:

Soldiers noticed what they thought was an armed gunman standing about 130 yards away, and opened fire, hitting the target, which turned out to be the boy, the army said. He was evacuated by the Palestinian Red Crescent, and when the Israeli soldiers "approached the spot, they found the weapon which the Palestinian was holding and discovered it to be a plastic gun," an Israeli Army statement said.

Obviously, a soldier being under fire from multiple directions 130 yards away could easily mistake a plastic replica for a real gun. From the pictures above, therefore, one could easily understand how the boy could be confused for one of the gunmen.

Most media outlets, such as BBC , Boston Globe and Kansas City Star, decided to accompany the story with pictures of the grieving mother or the child's body.

These photos, while eliciting sympathy for the loss, fail to illustrate how this tragedy occurred.

The journalists have left many questions unasked in this incident, among them:
Why did the Palestinians start shooting from positions near playing children?

Why were children allowed to play with realistic looking plastic guns in a combat zone?

Did the terrorists use the children as human shields?

Yet, in the wake of this event, not a single reporter has written about Palestinian responsibility in protecting such children.

Unfortunately, as HonestReporting has documented, this would not be the first time that children's lives have been placed in the line of fire in support of the Palestinian cause. (For more on this issue, see HR's affiliate Teach Kids Peace.)

After the incident, the IDF spokesman issued the followings statement:

The Israel Defence Forces regret the incident and stress again the danger which Palestinian gunmen and terrorists place the civilian Palestinian population by operating from within it against Israeli targets.

Certainly the death of any child is a tragedy. Yet it is the responsibility of journalists reporting on the incident and editors selecting photographs to bring all contextual material - visual or otherwise - to accurately reflect what really happened.

Did this story run in your local paper? If so, HonestReporting encourages you to write a letter to the editor, pointing out the fuller context of this matter.

Thank you for your ongoing involvement in the battle against media bias.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
C~B~N thoughts:
Since the world is so Pro-Palestinian-Anti-Israel, of course, they are NOT going to report the full story. It doesn't help their "agenda" to do so.
These are the same people who "celebrate" when their children strap dynamite on themselves and blow up Israelis. Had this boy actually killed an IDF soldier, his mother would have been celebrating instead of grieving.
These jihadist groups are NEVER seen. They skulk around in the shadows doing their evil deeds. If children are nearby, of course, they will be used as shields~~because a child cannot yet inflict as much damage as an adult; so in their jihadist eyes, they are justified in letting children draw the "fire" thus protecting themselves to fight another day.
Or they are cowards.......
Getting the Straight Story
from Agape Press
by Brad Locke
I really enjoy Brad Locke's articles. I always make the time to read these. For a young person, he is very astute and analytical. My big criticism of the news world is that they are NOT objective anymore. They present the news in such a way that it is very obvious of whom or what they support. As journalists they should NOT be doing this. Hence my despair if the rumors ARE true about Fox News as they were more objective than most.
>>>Before I go further, there must be a distinction made between objective reporting and opinion columns. Something like a game story should have no opinion, just an accurate depiction of what occurred. A column is, of course, expected to have a strong opinion, but the writer is still expected to be fair in his or her reporting. The "insensitive" label is most often applied to columnists, not writers of straight game or feature stories.
Objective reporting can at times seem heartless, even detached, to the reader. But objectivity should not be confused with negativity.
That's why Christians are often so vilified, because their message isn't what a lot of people want to hear. It's ultimately a message of hope, but where there is hope, there is also danger (otherwise, there would be no need for hope). It's the latter part that irks people. Sin and hell and the narrow path we're instructed to walk are subjects that can elicit verbally violent (and in some parts of the world, physically violent) reactions. Christians are called insensitive or, worse, intolerant.
The big picture can be rather overwhelming, and people tend to think too well of themselves. So any message that upsets one's tidy little worldview is rejected, and quite often so is the messenger. That should not deter Christians from carrying out the Great Commission. I think being a journalist has helped thicken my skin in this regard. I've learned to brush off negative feedback like so much dandruff. And that's all it is -- dead skin; worthless words. I've learned that the message is more important than my being liked by the message's recipient.
So I'll just keep calling it like I see it.<<<
See, analytical and astute. This young man gives much thought to what he writes and I, for one, appreciate his insights.
Fox News?
What is going on with Fox News? After reading the following article, I really am curious. I've heard rumors~~can only hope they are NOT true~~it would be too sad to have that old adage proven correct: all men have a price........
from
Agape Press
by Chad Groening
...A media watchdog organization says a recently aired documentary on "global warming" did not even attempt to be objective -- and that he was surprised the broadcast was aired on the "fair and balanced" Fox News Channel.
The Sunday night presentation was called "The Heat Is On: The Case of Global Warming." Even though the network issued a disclaimer that the program would be one-sided, Dan Gaynor of the Media Research Center (MRC) says it was a horrible decision to air it.
"What's disappointing here is that Fox News has done such a good job on this issue [in the past]," Gaynor says. "We did a study last year that analyzed four years of global warming coverage on the networks, and the network that came out the best out of those four years was Fox."
And Gaynor says the broadcast was a real coup for the environmentalist fringe that pushes the concept of global warming. "If you are on the environmental wacko side, and you really want to advocate something extreme -- and that's what this did -- if you can convince Fox, then that's a huge feather in your cap," he says, "because every Left-wing group out there is going to say, 'See, we told you. This is just proof, because even Fox News is running it.'" The MRC spokesman is hopeful that Fox News will follow thorough on its promise to present the other side of the issue.
Choosing the right College
Read the entire article by Jim Brown here: Agape Press
Many years ago, it really did not matter too much where you went to college. They all basically provided a well-rounded education that encouraged "free" discussions of many ideals.
Today, however, that is NOT the case. Many of our young people returning from their campuses state that they no longer speak out in class. Why? Because their "ideals" are ridiculed. In a profession that is supposed to encourage discussion and learning; who profess to be "tolerant" of all; has let the traditional Judeo-Christian families down completely by their scoffing, INTOLERANT, attitudes!
I have for years stated that the teachers in this country have the ability to turn our children into communists. Imagine my surprise when I found Abraham Lincoln's quote: "The philosophy of a school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next."
This is quickly becoming reality.
But as many parents prepare to send their youngsters off to college, they now have a wonderful guide to help them make the best possible choice for school placement.
>>>The Intercollegiate Studies Institute...includes reports on campus politics and intellectual diversity, and offers advice on which departments, professors, and courses to seek out and those to avoid.<<<
It is sad that it has come to this. Educators should not be brain-washing our children. That is not the job description of an educator. Since so many are not doing their jobs, it is up to us, the parents, to ensure that these young people do get that well-rounded education that they DESERVE! "The guide alerts prospective students to colleges and universities where academic radicalism has become dominant on campus."
>>>"Any education which undermines or just simply denies knowledge of the Bible or knowledge of Western history, of classical Greece, or of American history is in effect undermining the educational preparation of students and under-preparing them to be free citizens of the United States," Zmirak adds, "thereby really damaging our country and the students."<<<
Which, I fear, may be the goal.....
The best way to fight back?
Hit them in their pocketbooks! Giving your hard-earned money to campuses that still provide a well-rounded education sends a very LOUD message to all the others!
11/18 Update
from Agape Press by Jim Brown
Another excellent resource has just been published. Choosing the Right College: The Whole Truth About America's Top Schools (from Intercollegiate Studies Institute, 2005)edited by John Zmirak. This resource shares what schools to avoid and WHY.
But it also points out schools that are excellent choices such as: "...Wheaton in Illinois is both academically excellent and religiously solid in a sophisticated way," the editor says. "Your students will come out sophisticated defenders of the evangelical faith they took in with them."
For Evangelical Christians, that SHOULD be the bottom line. Our money needs to support those schools that support our belief systems; that will reinforce these beliefs in our children. Leave the other universities to the unbelievers and their dollars.
New Pre-Natal Test for Down Syndrome
Read the full article here: Agape Press
by Mary Rettig
A new test allows pregnant women in their first trimester to find out if their babies have Down syndrome.
Dr. Gene Rudd acknowledges that there are reasons to test pre-born babies for any diseases or abnormalities. He says it can allow parents to better prepare for raising the child.
"My concern is ... where are we going with this? What is our goal? Are we looking as a society to develop a paradigm or a philosophy that we want to seek and destroy all the pre-born babies with disabilities?" {Yes. This is exactly where the proponents of abortion and euthanasia are heading, intentionally. Their belief is that handicapped individuals have no worth; they contribute nothing to society; they drain the money from the social coffers; therefore, they do not need to live. Only the millions of productive handicapped people have proven this fallacy wrong.}
Rudd worries that the test is simply to mark those babies for destruction through abortion. "If we're just doing that test to see how many babies we can identify that have a disability for the purpose of terminating their lives, that's not consistent with a civilized society," the Christian physician says.
Rudd says individuals cannot use the excuse that people with Down syndrome have a poor quality of life because he says they seem to be "pro-programmed" with a joyful view of life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
from conservative~by~nature's thoughts:

Do not forget the brilliance of many physically handicapped people~~Stephen Hawking to name just one.

What "perfectionists" seem to have either never realized, or refuse to acknowledge is that EVERYONE is handicapped in some way. Everyone has strengths AND weaknesses. It is those weaknesses that ARE our handicaps to overcome. Some are much more obvious than others; but they are there all the same.

Perfectionism, or utopia, can NEVER exist because we are incapable of perfection. We have too many "human" flaws~~of greed, selfishness, pride, vanity....etc.,etc.,etc.....

To determine that individuals whose handicaps are more readily apparent have no worth is just HUBRIS of the worst kind.

I find most mentally handicapped persons to be more human and loving than their intellectualized counterparts who come off as arrogant snobs.

For any group of individuals to determine another group's quality of life is negliable is a very dangerous thing indeed. Today, it might be the mentally handicapped they wish to prevent being born. Tomorrow it could be the physically handicapped. Ten years from now, it could be babies of Christians; or babies to minorities. Just where does it stop? Just who determines that?

No, human kind cannot handle this kind of power. It is this kind of unchecked power that gives rise to the Hitlers of the world. We've seen the documented proof of that.

God, Himself, considers all humans worthy of life. (Jeremiah 1:5) Even if you don't believe in God, how can you be less compassionate regarding life? If you are less compassionate, less loving, (and you will be because of your flawed human nature) you do not need to have this kind of power over life and death.

Separation of church and state

I believe in supporting Israel. They are the ONLY democratic government in the middle east.

I also believe Islam is a danger to our way of life. Yet I find, ironically, so many in the liberal left supporting Islam.

A democracy nor a republic can withstand an Islamic onslaught~~in plain English, the heads of our government would be the FIRST to be assassinated. Islam IS DICTATED BY THEIR RELIGION~~THEIR GOVERNMENTS ARE RELIGIOUS BASED. Their religious leaders would become our new leaders. There would be no courts to appeal to. No Congress to make laws. All that would be destroyed.

No longer would there be this "separation of church and state" so dear to so many.....believe it or not, conservatives do not want a religious based government either; we just want our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms as well.

All people who worship (or don't) would be forced to convert to Islam. No more freedom of religion. No more freedom FROM religion either~~agnostics, atheists, et.al. would also be FORCED to worship Allah.

Islam does NOT allow the criticism of their religion or government. In other words, you will have lost your Freedom of Speech.

Women in the Islamic world have NO freedoms. They are covered head to foot by black~~only their eyes are seen and most times those are cast toward the ground. Women's Liberation would be destroyed. Those who criticize Islam would NOT live to see the next sunrise. There would be no "courts" to appeal to in regards to this. Your death, as a woman, would not matter. Women ARE chattels (Property) to their husbands, fathers, brothers. They are second class citizens.

Hollywood has been pro-Islamic for a long while now; which still kind of blows me away since so many studios were started by Jews! At any rate, Hollywood would NOT survive Islam. (Can you imagine these "artists" trying to work in the real world....) They make too many "pornographic" movies that assault the puritanical sensibilities of Islam. While I just turn off the TV, Islam will destroy it. The ONLY thing you will be able to view will be 24/7 religious training or more accurately, indoctrination.

Islam is a threat to the American way of life.

Those who cannot or refuse to see this, really will reap what they sow. I just don't want to reap it with them!

Hmm. Swell that you can rejoice for the death of so many! I know war in the Middle East meets your sense of the Apocolypse. Palestinians are Christians. Islam honors Jesus. I guess the questions is do you believe that Jews are saved in the end times? As far as I am concerned all those who seek the death of another sleep in the same bed, no matter what religion they profess.

Rebuttal: I don't think this blog has "rejoiced in the death of so many!" This blog has simply pointed out what to expect if a government based on religion SHOULD succeed in taking over. As for war in the middle east, the world hasn't seen anything yet. But when the "BIG" one starts, it will NOT be Israel nor the United States who start it. It will be those nations who want to wipe Israel off the face of the map which at last count was around 25 Islamic nations along with a few others.....

Islam only honors Jesus as a great man, as a prophet~~not the Son of God.

I don't strap dynamite on my children and rejoice when they have killed Israelis. Nor will I be doing that.

As for the Jews being saved in the end times, just who do you think the 144,000 witnesses to the world are? 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes will witness to you whatever your nationality, your religion~~so yes, the Jews will be saved~~they have always been precious to God and remain so to this very day. Any nation that desires to wipe Israel off the face of the earth will face God's wrath. I don't rejoice in this fact at all. My desire is for more missionaries to reach out and this I support.

What I AM SICK of is intelligent people stating that Islam is a religion of love and peace when their very actions cry otherwise. By their fruits you shall know them....words of peace and actions of hate are rotten fruit any way you look at it.

Sacrificing Isaac

What Kind of G-d Would Ask You to Sacrifice Your Son?
a conversation between a Skeptic and a Believer
By
Yanki Tauber

Skeptic: I assume even you guys have a problem with this one. G-d testing Abraham by ordering him to sacrifice his son! And--even worse--Abraham rushing to fulfill the macabre command. Now if that's not the epitome of everything wrong with religion...

Believer: Personally, I have no problem with it. Though I admit it's not as easy for me to explain to a skeptic as, for example, the story of the Exodus...

Skeptic: You have no problem with it? G-d not only condoning, but actually asking for the sacrifice of a human life as a demonstration of faith? If that's how you feel about it, you're no different from the suicide bombers who believe they're killing themselves and scores of innocent men, women and children because G-d wants them to....!

Believer: Aren't you leaving something out? If you're going read the Akeidah story, read it to the end...

Skeptic: I know. In the end Isaac isn't killed. But that's almost besides the point....

Believer: No, that is the point. Or at least a very important point of the story. After Abraham demonstrates the depth of his faith and commitment to G-d with his willingness to sacrifice Isaac, G-d commands Abraham, "Do not reach out you hand to the lad! Do not do anything to him!" G-d makes it clear that He does NOT want us to offer human sacrifices to Him.

Read the rest of the conversation here: Chabad

The whole point of Judaism {or Christianity} is not to die for G-d, but to live for G-d.

But unless you're prepared to quite literally die for G-d, you cannot truly live for G-d.

Palestinians taste their own medicine

read the full article here: IFCJ

Tuesday, November 15, 2005
By: Daniel Pipes

{Conservative~by~Nature's comments enclosed in parentheses}

A suicide bombing in Hadera, Israel, on October 26 that killed five people inspired the usual Palestinian joy: some 3,000 people took to the streets in celebration, chanting Allahu Akbar, calling for more suicide attacks against Israelis, and congratulating the “martyr’s” family on the success of the attack.

But Palestinians were uncharacteristically morose after three explosions went off on November 9, killing 57 persons and injuring hundreds, in Amman, Jordan. That’s because, for the very first time, they found themselves the main victim of those same Islamist “martyrs.”

The massacre at a wedding in the Radisson SAS hotel ballroom took the lives of 17 family members...

After two decades of doling out this horror against Israelis, some of whom were also attending festive events (a Passover dinner, a Bar Mitzvah), Palestinians, who form a majority of the Jordanian population, unexpectedly found themselves at the receiving end.

And, guess what: they did not like it.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the family. I also hope that Palestinians, who have established a worldwide reputation not just for relying heavily on suicide murder but for doing so enthusiastically, will benefit from this unique learning opportunity.

No other media and school system indoctrinates children {child abuse in its vilest form} to become suicide murderers. No other people holds joyous wakes for dead suicide bombers; no other parents hope their children will blow themselves up. None other receives lavish endorsement and funding for terrorism from the authorities. Nor has another people produced a leader so inextricably tied to terrorism as was Yasir Arafat, nor so bountifully devoted its allegiance to him.

Will the Palestinians’ shameful love affair with suicide killings and “martyrdom” diminish after the atrocity in Amman? Might a taste of their own medicine teach them that what goes around comes around? That barbarism ultimately visits the barbarians too?

{One can only hope and pray that it has taught them.}

Leftist Influences Corrupting the Churches Culture

from Agape Press
by Chad Groening

Conservative author David Kupelian says the Church has not been immune to the radical liberal influence that is so pervasive in U.S. culture today. {What better way to destroy your enemy? From WITHIN. Then it is subtle, and insiduous. The frog in boiling water syndrome!}

"Unfortunately the Christian church, institutionally, has been a target of marketers of evil."
{Because satan must destroy Christianity and Judiasm to be successful. He is the father of lies and mimicry. While it appears he and his evil minions are winning the Good news is satan has already lost the war!}

"Leftists, basically, are in charge of the National Council of Churches and the World Council of Churches." {These are the groups who will bring in the "one world religion" to go hand-in-hand with the "one world government"~~which all belongs to the anti-christ and satan. This is just Biblical prophecy coming to life!}

"One result of this left-ward tendency in the Church, Kupelian suggests, is the moral corruption and decline of culture, with adverse fallout affecting law and public mores.

For instance, he observes, 'We keep electing non-Christian people, and we keep allowing all kinds of death-affirming rather than life-affirming laws and policies.'

{This is HOW churches willingly allow evil to enter into their congregations and clergy~~i.e. promiscuity; adulterers; homosexuality; euthanasia; abortions as child prevention, or the pressure exerted by Doctors of babies who are not perfect~~without the correcting interventions done in previous generations. [ Guidelines for correction: Proverbs 29:1; Galatians 6:1; 2 Corinthians 7: 9-10; 1 Corinthians 5: 12 ; 1 Corinthians 5:1-2~~thanks to my buddy agenda buster for this quick reference list! Some I knew but I would have had to spend a lot more time looking up the rest! Visit his blog on sin and the church entitled 'The Homosexual Gene' here: Agenda Buster's Blog as well as the rest of his busting agendas blogs.]

Churches have fallen prey to that liberal, elitist, philosophy of TOLERANCE or political correctness~~both of which are anathema to the true Christian. Matthew 12:30 "He who is not WITH me is AGAINST me; and he who does not GATHER with me SCATTERS."}

Meanwhile, the author points out, 'We have 80 percent of America that self-identifies as being Christian. {Maybe, it is TIME to get Righteously RADICAL ourselves and start fighting the good fight. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And the prize awaits me--the crown of righteousness that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of His return..."}

And yet our culture and our laws and many of our institutions are increasingly not only non-Christian but anti-Christian -- hostile to Christianity.' "

Poem by Judge Roy Moore

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well. Judge Moore may get the last laugh after all~~he's running for Governor! Good luck Judge!

America the Beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.

~Judge Roy Moore

Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in prayer. He has stood firm and needs our support.

IN GOD WE TRUST!

Rejoice

More United Nations Tyranny

Read the full article here: Beware a 'Digital Munich'
by Mr. Norm Coleman Republican senator from Minnesota

It sounds like a Tom Clancy plot. An anonymous group of international technocrats holds secretive meetings in Geneva. Their cover story: devising a blueprint to help the developing world more fully participate in the digital revolution. {affordable computers in all school children's hands} Their real mission: strategizing to take over management of the Internet from the U.S. and enable the United Nations to dominate and politicize the World Wide Web. Does it sound too bizarre to be true? Regrettably, much of what emanates these days from the U.N. does.

The Internet faces a grave threat. We must defend it. We need to preserve this unprecedented communications and informational medium, which fosters freedom and enterprise. We can not allow the U.N. to control the Internet.

In addition to resentment of U.S. technological leadership, proponents of politicization are driven by fear -- of access to full and accurate information, and of the opportunity for legitimate political discourse and organization, provided by the Internet. Nations like China, which are behind the U.N. plan to take control, censor their citizens' Web sites, and monitor emails and chat rooms to stifle legitimate political dissent. U.N. control would shield this kind of activity from scrutiny and criticism.

Read it here: United Nations Proposes a WORLD TAX
by Refet Kaplany

The controversy centers in part around a proposal to create something called the International Tax Organization. The organization would help nations collect and disseminate information on tax policies and, opponents insist, assess its own taxes, help governments tax emigrant citizens working in other countries and even compel member states to share tax data.

High-tax countries like France have long lamented their loss of human and financial resources to lower-taxed nations like the United States. An international tax agency would thus work to reduce such "tax competition" between nations.

That doesn't sound right to low-tax advocates. They fear decreased "tax competition" would only force foreign nationals working in the United States to pay higher taxes to their native governments or, even more disturbing, compel the United States to raise its own tax rates.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some of us do NOT recognize any authority from the United Nations. In fact, many of us believe it's time to "retire" the United Nations OFF of American soil.
Buh bye.
As for paying a WORLD TAX~~~~~~~~~~MAKE ME.
My grandfather REFUSED to pay Social Security. He considered it communism. As for a world tax, I "ain't gonna" pay it EVER.
Throw me in jail...at least then I'll get 3 "squares" a day~~more than I get now; and will have air conditioning and heat in abundance~~something I've had to scrimp on the past year; free cable~~haven't had TV in 2 years; free internet; hey, those prisoners live better than I do! But I'm FREE.
At least for now........
11/18 Update: Agape Press
by Bill Fancher
...Conservatives gathered at the Washington, DC-based Heritage Foundation on Thursday (Nov. 17) to discuss the prospects of the United Nations taking control of the Internet.
The panelists taking part in the seminar agreed this was one of the easiest topics they have ever explored. They said it would be devastating to allow the U.N. to control the worldwide web.{What hubris to think they are even ENTITLED to do so; as if any of them had anything to do with the creation of the World Wide Web, which might entitle them a teeny, tiny bit. Since they had NOTHING to do with it, just who are they to determine how it should be controlled?}
Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman said the Internet must be kept free. "The good book says that people without a vision will perish," Coleman offered. "The vision that we have to have is a vision of a liberated Internet -- a vision of an Internet not controlled by government, not controlled by international organizations."
California Congressman John Doolittle is convinced the U.N. wants to gain control of the Internet so it can raise huge amounts of money. "The U.N. has already proposed a so-called 'bit tax' {Don't know about the rest of ya'll, but I AIN'T paying it~~EVER.} on sending data through the Internet at a rate of one cent per 100 e-mails," the lawmaker says. "This so-called 'very small tax' on the roughly one billion people using the Internet today would equate to almost two trillion dollars to fill the U.N.'s coffers." {See, GREED is prompting this and nothing more. Does anyone in their right mind believe the United Nations would do any good with this money? NO. They wouldn't. The poor would remain poor while the "fat cats" got fatter.}
The resounding conclusion of the panel was that the Internet needs to be kept as far as possible from the U.N.
{AMEN.}
Prayer
When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good', but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the LOTTERY.
We have rewarded laziness and called it WELFARE.
We have killed our unborn and called it CHOICE.
We have shot abortionists and called it JUSTIFIABLE.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it BUILDING SELF ESTEEM.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it AMBITION.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it ENLIGHTENMENT.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us FREE!
AMEN."
World War III is closer than you think
from Agape Press
by Chad Groening
...A former real estate broker who took a video camera to Iraq to search for the truth says he cannot understand why any American can be so bitterly opposed to President Bush's decision to remove Saddam Hussein from power.{Especially when it should have been done during the first Gulf War.}
But Brad Maaske hopes his new documentary -- Weapons of Mass Destruction: The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein -- will change some minds.
Maaske traveled to Iraq after hearing a heart-wrenching account from an Iraqi woman who was a victim of Saddam's brutality. He says so-called human rights activists ought to be thrilled that the U.S. deposed the dictator.
"I would think that the human rights activists would say, 'Wow, America [has been] stopping these kinds of things from happening by taking Saddam out of power. He was murdering people every day. He was training terrorists.'"
But Maaske says instead, the American Left seems to pull for a failure in the Middle East. "I read [negative] stories that say that this will sure be a victory for Bush ... if this [Iraqi] constitution is approved," he says. "Or I hear other experts say the trial of Saddam is unfair; they don't know what they're doing."
Such reports, he says, make it sound as if the Left is "rooting for a failure in the Middle East." {They are. Because it reflects badly on a President they refuse to support. Even if, in the end, Bush is correct; and the massive Muslim hordes run over the liberals, they will still curse Bush with their dying breath! Isn't this cutting off your nose in spite of your face or however that saying goes?}
Saddam's 500-ton Uranium Stockpile
from Newsmax
"Maybe that's why the press seldom discusses the fact that Saddam already had a staggeringly large stockpile of uranium - 500 tons, to be exact. "
"...in his 2004 book, 'The Bomb in My Garden,' Dr. Mahdi Obeidi told U.S. interrogators: 'Saddam kept funding the IAEC [Iraq Atomic Energy Commission] from 1991 ... until the war in 2003.' "
"If the average American were aware of these undisputed facts, the debate over Iraq's weapons of mass destruction would have been decided long ago - in President Bush's favor."
from Human Events Online: Democrats Push Big Lie About War
by Allan H. Ryskind
From 1995 to 1996 and from 1999 to 2001, Kenneth M. Pollack served as director for Gulf affairs at the National Security Council, where he was the principal working-level official responsible for implementation of Clinton’s policy toward Iraq.
Prior to serving Clinton, he spent seven years in the CIA as a Persian Gulf military analyst.
Was Clinton’s seasoned expert on the Gulf also in on the Bush plan to fabricate evidence? The conspiracy buffs may think so, for in 2002, when Bush was in office and worrying about what to do about Saddam, Pollack wrote a book titled The Threatening Storm. The subtitle was more provocative: The Case for Invading Iraq.
After analyzing all the WMD {weapons of mass destruction} evidence at his command, and Saddam Hussein’s career as an aggressor, a mass murderer and a political thug who could not be trusted to keep his word, Pollack concluded:
  • Unfortunately, the only prudent and realistic course of action left to the United States is to mount a full-scale invasion of Iraq to smash the Iraqi armed forces.”
When the WMD weren’t found, Pollack wrote an article for the Atlantic Monthly for its first issue in 2004.
He was critical of the Bush Administration’s handling of the war, but he made several informative observations in his critique. Among them:
  • “The U.S. intelligence community’s belief that Saddam was aggressively pursuing weapons of mass destruction pre-dated Bush’s inauguration and therefore cannot be attributed to political pressure.”
  • “In October of 2002, the National Intelligence Council, the highest analytical body in the U.S. intelligence community, issued a classified National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq’s WMD representing the consensus of the intelligence community. Although after the war some complained that the NIE had been a rush job and that the NIE should have been more careful in its choice of language, in fact, the report accurately reflected what intelligence analysts had been telling Clinton Administration officials like me for years in verbal briefings.”
Pollack, citing this crucial report, then said: “U.S. government analysts were not alone in these views. In the late spring of 2002, I participated in a Washington meeting about Iraq WMD.
Those present included nearly 20 former inspectors from the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM), the force established in 1991 to oversee the elimination of WMD in Iraq.
  • “One of the senior people put a question to the group. Did anyone in the room doubt that Iraq was currently operating a secret centrifuge plant? No one did. Three people added that they believed Iraq was also operating a secret calutron plant (a facility for separating uranium isotopes.)
  • Other nations’ intelligence services were similarly aligned with U.S. views. Somewhat remarkably, given how adamantly Germany would oppose the war, the German Federal Intelligence Service held the bleakest view of all, arguing that Iraq might be able to build a nuclear weapon within three years [without outside fissile material]. Israel, Russia, Britain, China and even France held positions similar to that of the United States.”
Pollack’s account alone puts the lie to the charge that Bush took us to war on “manufactured” intelligence.
History will determine whether the Bush Administration did the right thing in invading Iraq and we may yet discover definitively why so many experts appeared to have misjudged the WMD threat. But we can conclude that the President took us to war based on convincing, uncooked data compiled by intelligence analysts in both the Clinton and Bush Administrations.
Those who say Bush “lied us into war” based on “manufactured” intelligence are either ignorant or malicious.
{I'd say they are BOTH. Time to be quiet Cindy Sheehan and the liberal lefties.}
Either way, they are dangerously undermining whatever chance we still have of rescuing Iraq from chaos and catastrophe.
Using Children to Spy on Families
from AFA
by Berit Kjos
Kjos Ministries Blogged in its entirety.
{conservativebynature's comments enclosed by}
Cynthia, a concerned Washington mom, doesn't want the public school to monitor her family’s values. {This is a concerned parent~~were that there were more in this nation. Instead, we have a majority of parents who just don't care. They want teachers to teach the basics, plus do the parents' job of teaching manners, morality, sex-ed, self-control, socialization skills, and be a surrogate parent. Parents~~no whinning when you DISCOVER, THAT YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER DID ALL THIS AND MORE~~and completely undermined your authority, and your beliefs and created a godless socialist or communist individual!} Naturally, this letter from her son’s 4th grade teacher troubled her:
Dear Parent or Guardian:
In the next several weeks, your son/daughter will be participating in the 4th grade unit of instruction on: Personal Safety (child sexual abuse prevention)
Includes T.A.L.K. Theatre for 2nd, 4th, and 8th grades.
Please refer to the brochure sent to you in the fall for specific information about the various components of our comprehensive health curriculum. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
Since no brochure had arrived, Cynthia asked the teacher for a copy. {Honestly answer: how many of you reading this would have persistently followed through on this?} It failed to answer her questions, so she called the district Curriculum Director. He explained that a group of actors would put on a play "with the kids." The presentation would show the children different ways to handle adults who make them uncomfortable by their touching or talking.
Cynthia asked if she could watch the play with her child. He said no; other students might not disclose abuse if parents were present. "Are you basically looking for kids that have been abused?" she asked.
Again the answer was no, but he admitted that students sometimes disclose personal secrets to an adult after a performance. The actual purpose of the theater, however, was to provide children with skills on how to handle uncomfortable situations.
The actors -- and a professional psychologist -- were trained to look for kids who were "plugging their ears," "covering their face" or showing other signs of discomfort.
Cynthia didn't ask what the school would do with children who plugged their ears or were suspected to be "at risk." Later she wondered. Would the psychologist examine and counsel the child? Would Child Protection Services be called? Might the child be removed from the family?
Such intrusive tactics are already devastating families across America. Children have been removed from loving homes because of anonymous phone calls, unfounded accusations and irrational hostility against Christian parents whose uncompromising beliefs are too "extremist" for the new millennium.[1]
Public schools have become therapy centers, immersing children in outrageous sex-education and multicultural experiences, values clarification and other forms of group therapy designed to:
  • desensitize children to contrary values {homosexuality, "living together", promiscuity}
  • produce moral confusion or cognitive dissonance {the above beliefs go against their Christian parents' values}
  • shifting loyalty from family to peer group {Hilary Clinton's "It takes a village to raise a child" bull.}
  • instill beliefs and behavior fit for the global village. {segues right into the ONE world government and ONE world religion~~which belongs to the ANTICHRIST.}
T.A.L.K. Theatre fits right in. "It’s psychological examination on the students without parental consent," says Cynthia. "There is no opt-out form or written permission slip to sign.
"The educational establishment knows that many parents would oppose their tactics if they discovered them. So they hide them from potential critics {Cowards} while seeking support from more liberal parents, community groups and agencies.
For example, the Massachusetts Dept. of Education website tells us that
“comprehensive school health education is a vital component of state-wide education reform.... Through collaboration with one another, health educators, academic teachers, and support staff can address a panoply of interrelated health topics....”
Those topics include AIDS education, beliefs, child abuse, discrimination, sexual orientation, family lifestyles and relationships, hate speech, violence prevention and other issues critical to social engineering.
Each would be discussed through “innovative, student-centered teaching methods that foster critical thinking skills and responsible decision making” such as peer education, question boxes, role playing, improvisational theater.... Theater and role-playing are powerful tools for social change. Today's teen violence illustrates the devastating consequences.
To stand against this
spreading evil, we must
know God's Word,
encourage each other,
pray for guidance and
look to the only One
who can lead us in
triumph.
{Be prepared for the time when you will have to take your child OUT of the public school venue and either home school or send them to a Christian school that will support your beliefs...or lose your child through government intervention and social services who view YOU as an endangerment to your own child because of your radical, Christian beliefs!}
“We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” 2 Chronicles 20:12
Supreme Court Tyrants
from Agape Press
by Brannon S. Howse author of "One Nation Under Man?: The Worldview War Between Christians and the Secular Left" /President and Founder of Worldview Weekend
{conservativebynature's comments enclosed in}
"Dershowitz and his Secular Humanist colleagues {Secular Humanism is anti-God. It is the worship of mankind. Their goal is to completely do away with religion; a Creator and His authority over mankind; and those who worship God~~Christians.} who have and do serve on the High Court are tyrants who have aggressively labored to assault the Constitution by rebelling against the original intent of the framers in order to achieve the godless government they crave.
The decisions of Justice Rehnquist are not taught in law schools because liberal professors of law teach a Secular Humanist worldview application to law and Justice Rehnquist believed in a fixed moral standard as the bases of America's legal system.
Moral relativism has now become the postmodern foundation on which America's courts and law schools are built {and our society} and thus they would never teach the opinions of Justice Rehnquist whose worldview they despise. {Moral relativism: whatever is currently acceptable is ok~~there is NO right, wrong, good, bad, righteous or evil.}
Dershowitz and the secular left are enemies of absolute truth, which is the weapon of freedom and justice instilled in the U.S. Constitution to protect us from the tyrants of the secular left that despise the moral law and a moral law giver {God}that is higher than government.
The tyrants serving on the Supreme Court today would be Ruth Bader Ginsburg, David Souter and Anthony Kennedy.
While serving as an attorney for the ACLU in 1977, Bader Ginsburg wrote a paper in which she argued that the legal age for sexual activity should be lowered to 12 years old. {The Man-Boy love association believes it should be 8 years of age. The ACLU is supporting this.}
Even before joining the Court, she advocated decisions that 'creatively interpreted clauses of the Constitution ... to accommodate a modern vision' of society. She approved of 'boldly dynamic interpretation, departing radically from the original understanding' of the Constitution. She also believed courts could 'repair' or even 'rewrite' legislation to reach desirable results.
We must replace Sandra Day O'Connor with someone who believes in fixed morality {there is most definitely a good, bad, right, wrong, righteous and evil} so we can continue to fight the humanist worldview of tyrants such as Alan Dershowitz." {And Ruth Bader-Ginsburg, Anthony Kennedy, and David Souter.}
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Herein lies the problem. The Supreme Court is not meant to write or rewrite legislation. Their purpose is to carry out the interpretation of the laws of the land.
from The U.S. Constitution online
Article III. - The Judicial Branch
Section 1 - Judicial powers
The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.
The powers of the Judiciary: the power to try federal cases and interpret the laws of the nation in those cases; the power to declare any law or executive act unconstitutional.
The seperation of powers was done intentially so no one branch could become all powerful. Realistically, it is time to reign in the Supreme Court who has taken more power than they are entitled to. The recent passage of Imminent Domain is one prime example of this.
Legislative Branch's Checks on the Judiciary at U.S. Constitution online
Senate approves federal judges
Impeachment power (House)
Trial of impeachments (Senate)
Power to initiate constitutional amendments
Power to set courts inferior to the Supreme Court
Power to set jurisdiction of courts
Power to alter the size of the Supreme Court
Executive Branch's Checks on the Judiciary
Power to appoint judges
Pardon power
Judicial Branch's Checks on the Legislature
Judicial review
Seats are held on good behavior
Compensation cannot be diminished
Checks on the Executive Branch
Judicial review
Chief Justice sits as President of the Senate during presidential impeachment
We need a strong Constitutionalist on the Supreme Court so that the balance can be restored. These conservative Justices will be the "checks" for the more liberal Justices.
Persecution of school children
from Agape Press
..."Barbaric." That's what the Vatican calls the beheading of three Indonesian schoolgirls who were attacked over the weekend as they walked to their Christian high school. The head of one of the girls was left outside a newly built Christian church. The attacks occurred on the Indonesian island where around 1,000 people have been killed in Muslim-Christian violence. Two girls whose throats were slit survived. One of them told police that there were six masked attackers who were wearing black shirts. The Vatican says Pope Benedict is praying for peace in the embattled region.
† † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † †
Yes, it is barbaric. It is also INTOLERANT, and Hate filled. God teaches me to LOVE MY NEIGHBORS~~not just my Christian neighbors~~ALL MY NEIGHBORS.
It also took a bunch of masked men ~~cowards to attack school children to send their hate-filled message. Somehow I don't think they'll be receiving those 72 virgins; nope, it will be the blood of the saints.......
Revelation 16:5-6 "And I heard the angel who had authority over all water saying, 'You are just in sending this judgment, O Holy One, who is and who always was. For your holy people and your prophets have been killed, and their blood was poured out on the earth. So you have given their murderers blood to drink. It is their just reward.'"
