Happy Birthday Jesus!
But we are not going to worship you on Sunday, the 25th this year as your birth conflicts with Christmas!
Good grief.
The ULTIMATE day to worship and churches are CLOSING their doors!
Read about it here: Agape Press and here Agape Press
Can we say "Hypocrisy"?
If your church is one of these who will NOT be open on Christmas day for the worship of God and Jesus Christ, you need to re-think your church!
What right can we have to criticize and threaten boycotts of retailers who will not wish us a "Merry Christmas" for OUR holy day (holiday); and then we can't be bothered to go to church on Christmas day to thank and worship our Lord who sent us the BEST CHRISTMAS gift ever? Jesus Christ.
SHAME ON YOU.
As for me and my church, we'll be open. We'll be worshipping and offering sincere praise for our Lord's gift of Jesus.
For those of you whose church has determined that family and presents are more important, we invite you to worship with us.
While God does want the family to be a loving and cohesive unit and wants relationships to be wonderful, it would behoove us to remember our priorities as given to us by God.
God first,
Family second,
Job last.
And for the rest of you who will not be worshipping God and Christ on CHRISTmas morning, I hope you will at least attempt to offer a prayer of thanks and wish Jesus a happy birthday.
Worship with us at First Baptist Church
and MERRY CHRISTmas!
