Hurricane Rita

Ahhh, Hurricane Rita

Practically right after Katrina. Still think we are not receiving judgments America? How about the earthquake near Los Angeles yesterday and today's aftershock?

What will it take to convince Americans that God is angry with us? He has continued to bless us for all my lifetime~~over 40 years~~when we really no longer deserved it.

How can we stop these judgments? It is so simple. REPENT. But too many of us have the old sin of pride keeping us from repenting. That is the hubris of an educated, intelligent, analyzing, thinking person. Someone who no longer needs the "crutch" of a Savior. It is our very arrogance that demands we be judged.

Now, forgive me, I will have to blog more later as I must go prepare for this one. This massive storm is not going to do what most hurricanes do~~that is dissipate once it hits land.

No, this monster is heading inland with sustained winds that will spawn tornados. Or so I have been told. Therefore, I must go sterilize the bathtub and fill it with water. As for 'stocking' up~~ forget it. Wal-Mart and Brookshires have only stripped shelves left~~this on the Ark-La-Tex border!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update:
Well, Praise God but Rita was not as bad as she could have been! Our area did have some wind~~we lost power for about 7 hours~~but the rain was sorely needed and was for the most part gentle enough to be absorbed by the very parched earth. So we are truly thankful! Today was a glorious azure blue sky and sunny Sunday.

Oh, and Wal-Mart and Brookshire's are both completely restocked!

Travel mercies for all those who are heading home and prayers that you will find no damage or just slight damage that can be easily repaired.

The God's are angry! Shall we sacrifice all the conservatives to avoid their wrath.

I write a liberal blog with a lot of sports. I've never found the need to post a disclaimer against bad language. Maybe, you're not right.
