The Demise of Ronnie Earle
Agape Press
by Chad Groening
...A New York Times best-selling author is calling on authorities in Texas to do whatever it takes to remove Travis County prosecutor Ronnie Earle from office. Earle recently convinced a grand jury to indict U.S. Republican Congressman Tom DeLay, forcing the long-time Texas politician to step down as House majority leader. Richard Poe, who writes for FrontPage Magazine, says the charges against DeLay are "ridiculous," and that the Democratic prosecutor will continue to engage in political witch hunts if he is not stopped. "By stopped I mean removed from his position by one means or another," Poe explains. "I think there is some talk now of perhaps even pressing charges against him for some of his malfeasance." Poe contends unless Earle is stopped, there is little to prevent him from continuing his political attacks. "I don't think anything will stop him except giving him a taste of his own medicine," he says. "And fortunately Tom DeLay is one of the few Republicans who seems to have the stomach to do just that." Poe believes that if the voters of California were able to recall their governor and remove him from office, then Texans should be able to find a way to oust Earle.

Can only hope that these 21st century witch hunts are condemned for what they are.
