The Biblical End Times

>>>Gospel for Asia founder K.P. Yohannan says the recent earthquake, hurricanes, and floods around the world could indeed point to the imminent rapture of Christ's church. That is why he urges believers to get serious about living sacrificially and reaching others for Christ -- before it is too late.
In the wake of tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, and torrential flooding -- not to mention pestilence, wars and rumors of wars -- authors Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye are not the only Christians warning others that contemporary disasters may well be pointing to biblical prophecy's end times. As a passionate voice for Christian evangelism, ministry, and outreach, K.P. Yohannon is one Christian leader who sees in all these possible signs a clear challenge for the Church to get serious about fulfilling the Great Commission.<<<

Matthew 24: 32-35
Now learn the lesson from the fig tree. When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know without being told that summer is near. Just so, when you see the events I've described beginning to happen, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever."
Mark 13:28-31 Both say basically the same thing.
Luke 21:29-33
Many "evangelical" Christians believe we are in the "end times". While many unbelievers scoff~~citing past centuries when believers thought 'their' times were the end times.
But it is the above passages which give credence to believers thinking we ARE living in the end times.
To understand, you must know who the fig tree represents.
It is the nation of Israel.
There has not been a nation of Israel for over 2000 years. Yet, the nation is re-born in a day in May 1948.
This rebirth of Jesus's nation started that millenial clock ticking. Then Jesus states that the generation that sees this re-birth of His homeland will still be living when HE RETURNS!
Therefore, time IS growing short as the nation of Israel celebrates their 58th birthday May 2006.
Hence, Mr. Yohannan is correct that we need to get out and evangelize. Therefore, no man, woman, or child will be able to say that they "didn't know the truth." Rather, they simply chose not to choose.....the free gift of everlasting life in God's and Jesus's presence.
